Linton is the commercial hub of northern Greene County, and its Main Street diners, pizza shops, and the kitchens that feed the crowds at the Linton Freedom Festival all rely on grease traps to keep fats and oils out of the town's sewer. When a trap is neglected it does more than slow the drains: it can put a small kitchen out of service on its busiest night.
We are adding a truck equipped for grease. Once it is in service we plan to pump and clean grease traps and interceptors for Linton restaurants and school kitchens on a recurring schedule, so the cleaning happens well before a trap becomes a problem.
